Once you reach a new tier, you keep that status for 12 months — even if your spending slows down. At the start of each new year, your spending resets to zero, but your current tier continues until it expires. To maintain or upgrade your tier, continue spending throughout the year.
Example:
If you earn Habanero status in August, you stay at Habanero until the following August. If you don't re-qualify by then, your status will drop to the tier you did earn — or lower if spending was insufficient.
